Trash is a hybrid online project: a mostly text-based web site with live video streaming of small performance interventions from specific locations in public spaces. The project is an attempt to look at the small things in life which are easily forgotten; to recycle the insignificant things we throw away everyday in our (real/virtual/cognitive) trash bins.

Trash continues Uninvited Guests' exploration of the interface between live presence and digital media, which began with their performance project Guest House - later developed into an interactive CD-ROM - and further investigated in their performance pieces Film and Offline. In Trash we are interested in complicating the exchange between virtual and real spaces, with text-based web monologues or dialogues re-staged in public spaces and video-streamed 'live' back to the Trash web site.
